Pambansang Balagtasan 2008 Champion. The student team from San Pedro High School, Hagonoy, Bulacan was declared champion in the Pambansang Balagtasan 2008 finals held at the University Theater on February 9. Organized by the Sentro ng Wika Filipino and sponsored by the office of Senator Edgardo J. Angara, National Commission for Culture and the Arts and the Office of the Chancellor through the Office for Initiatives in Culture and the Arts, the Balagtasan was participated in by high school students from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao schools. Only four teams remained in the final round. The other teams were from Nabuslot National High School from Oriental Mindoro (2nd place), UP Iloilo High School, Iloilo City (3rd place), and Molave Vocational Technical High School from Zamboanga del Sur.
